Finlay's Myrmica Rubra

Don't want to alarm you but they seem from that picture to be covered in mites. If I was you I would contact the seller as he shouldn't have sold them in that state

Already? All my Lasius species are still foraging! Well activity has declined as I cooled them down from 24c to 21c over the week to get ready for going into hibernation as the outside temp here is 11c-16c they would have slowed down out in the wild more so and am following ant kit hibernation date...

Don't tease me like this @ManicaLuca " homekit compatible" OMG I would like that so much - you have to make it. I assume it would show the current temp and have heat controls up and down ? like my thermostat here on my ipad. http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah241/RobJ2210/0116e689405bd2...

Increase the humidity levels inside your nest significantly - the brood will likely develop with a higher succes rate. Offer a sinful amount of protien in the form of crickets etc, even if they don't touch it. Give them decent variety and replace daily. Keeps temps at a constant 26c for optimum for...

Hmmm yes it seems to be the water [emoji97] from the sponge leeches in way too heavily down with a slightly heated compartment you cause condensation seems to be an issue even one drop of water floods the nest. Yes there's 3 left from the most recent batch http://robjsantsreal.wixsite.com/robjsants/...

There numbers are dwindling and there's no real reason for it. I've checked and rechecked humidity and temperature and food availability and they eat absolutely everything I give them and still the queen don't lay many eggs??? She's slowing down for hibernation??
