Is there any way of confirming that they are dust mites or something I should be looking out for in the future for now I think all my out worlds are sterilised

That's the best theory to what's happening I've heard. There is dust all over the room there kept in am always dusting there lids etc. I've tried hard to find mites on the ants but I don't see any. And there white so I should be able to spot them. They look like dandruff and the adults are big white...

Only the last few days have I been finding mite on there dead foods after 24h. Wonder why

Ok so far I have locked the ants in there nests. And filled there outworlds with boiling water and let dry. And still can not see any on the ants. Why's that ?????

Just make sure you rigorously disinfect and clean with boiling water a few times lads so theres no chance of nasty mites etc

I have a Canon 70D but I don't have the right lens for macro i have only telephoto so I tend to use am iPhone 6s with macro olloclip

Oh as far as I know Mating / nuptial flights of Lasius niger usually occur around June to September.
