HI there I would like to know if gyproc fine casting plaster is able to make a nest as I had went down to my local hardware store and thats all they do no plaster of paris.they are offering a 25kg bag of it for 17 euro so I like to know if I can use it or not to make a ant nest.

Yes, you can use this type of plaster. I'm using this type of plaster for a few years already and even though it feels very hard, it still absorbs water just fine.

In my opinion it is easier to work with than ytong, but that might just be me. My plaster nests absorb a cup of water within a minute.
