Okay, so I gave my new messor colony some ham the other day and then had thought that I removed all of it. I just came back after being away for the weekend to find that the sneaky feckers had hid a piece inside their test tube. I have left a new test tube in the out world in the hope that they would move but the queen is stubborn and won't move. I need help deciding whether to just leave them or maybe force the queen out, but she has already had the most stressful two weeks since she arrived, long story short I was very ill prepared for her arrival.

Don't force a move. Let them decide when to move. If the mould becomes dangerous, they will know and will move the queen and brood. Keep the new test tube as dark as you can (if you aren't going to wrap it in tinfoil), and expose the other one to light. This is difficult to do in your situation. @veektooru, I think they're in an outworld.

I've never had any problems with mould before this so I don't really know what classifies as dangerous.

The ants do, though. :-)
